time limit for agreement
The 42 days the Engineer has to broker agreement on a matter or Claim. If that fails, a further 42 days runs as the time limit for determination.
“within 42 days or within such other time limit as may be proposed” (FIDIC 3.7.3)

For Claim 1 the time limit for agreement ran 42 days from 29 April 2026, to 10 June.
